We are sorry to disappoint you, but the Comité Régional du Tourisme de Picardie has taken the decision to stop the Picardie Pauses programme. The 2003/4 programme, which finished on 31 August 2004, was in fact the seventh and last.

If you would like to see the programme* reinstated, why not drop us an email. It would be particularly helpful to know whether you’d been on a Picardie Pause or not – so don’t forget to mention it.

There is no harm, of course, in your contacting the hotels or chambres d’hôtes who have participated in the programme previously and simply ask them whether they would be happy to do you a “Picardie Pause” (2-nights-for-the-price-of-one) or an alternative good deal. There’s nothing to lose in asking. And, even if the answer is negative, don’t forget that these places already offer remarkably good value for money.

"Pause of Plenty" : two nights accommodation for the price of one, but also breakfasts, and one evening meal too which could be either a menu terroir (based on local produce and traditional recipes) or a menu gastronomique (always rather special), depending on which establishment you chose.
