A Cuisine that’s real, based on local produce
Picardie’s geography is diverse - unspoilt coastline, great rivers, ancient forests, marshlands and fertile plains produce.
Its cuisine is therefore diverse too, typified by what each “terroir” (local area) produces today and has produced for centuries.
The ‘Picards’ believe that nothing is ever quite as good as what grows locally.
Why not take a Gastronomic Break?
Treat yourself to a gourmet break, savouring our abundant seafood, sea and river fish, salt marsh lamb, duck, and game from the forests. Vegetables grow plentifully on the region's fertile plains, making for a balanced diet (and catering for our many vegetarian visitors).
